How We Plan Your Wedding Music
My job as a DJ is to get inside your head: understand what you love, what you’d rather avoid, and how to bring your taste together with the range of guests at your wedding. Some couples leave the music entirely to me. Others want to get closely involved. Either works; the more you share, the more personal we can make it.
We use two tools to help:
Our music form collects your key songs, including your first dance and wedding breakfast entrance, alongside must-plays, culturally significant music and the general atmosphere you want. Just as important is your banned list: knowing what you don’t want helps us get it right.
You can also share playlists from any music platform. Whether you send three hours or twenty, they give me a deeper understanding of your taste. Simply flag which tracks are essential and which are there for inspiration.
Our playlist builder helps if you’re unsure where to start. Available through your planning portal, it works a little like Tinder: listen to a song and swipe according to your gut reaction. It connects with Spotify, so you can search your favourite artists and explore ideas together.
From there, I take everything you’ve shared and shape it around the day, using my experience and reading the room to bring your guests with us.
